Bowling Green, Ky. — TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark for Chest Paint Certification.

“Earning this certification reflects TriStar Greenview’s commitment to fast, coordinated, high-quality cardiac care,” said Mike Sherrod, chief executive officer at TriStar Greenview. “This is truly raising the bar for how we serve our community when every second counts.”

To earn the certification, TriStar Greenview underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review in August. Joint Commission reviewers evaluated the hospital’s compliance with related certification standards developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. The review included in-depth observations and staff interviews focused on clinical processes, patient safety and continuous improvement.

“Chest Pain Certification recognizes healthcare organizations committed to striving for excellence and fostering continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission.
