Back pain services we offer

In many cases, back pain and spine issues can be relieved through medication, rest or rehabilitative therapy. We may also recommend advanced surgery as an option if you are experiencing chronic back pain.

Spine surgery

Your doctor may recommend spine surgery for pain that does not improve through other orthopedic care. Spine surgery is also a treatment option for serious disorders or diseases of the central nervous system and trauma. The procedures our surgeons perform include:

  • Cervical foraminotomy — Surgery to widen the area where the spinal nerve roots exit the spinal column
  • Discectomy — Removal of the central portion of an intervertebral disc
  • Kyphoplasty — Surgery to treat progressive vertebral compression fractures
  • Laminectomy — Removal of a portion of the vertebral bone (called the lamina)

Physical therapy and rehabilitation

Physical therapy is an important part of recovery, whether you have just had spine surgery or are recovering from a serious injury. Our physical therapists will go over the ideal exercises and best practices to help you recover.

Neurotherapy is also available through physician therapy services in our wider network of TriStar Health hospitals. This is a form of rehabilitation tailored to conditions affecting the central nervous system.
