TriStar Centennial welcomes Dr. Tim Grant as chief medical officer

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Tim Grant as the hospital's new chief medical officer.

Nashville, Tenn – TriStar Centennial Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Tim Grant as the hospital’s new chief medical officer. Dr. Grant comes from HCA Healthcare’s Parkridge Health System in Chattanooga where he served for five years as chief medical officer of their five-campus health system. In addition to his responsibilities overseeing medical staff operations at TriStar Centennial, Dr. Grant will also serve as chief administrative officer of TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial.

“Dr. Grant’s extensive experience as a physician and medical staff leader will be an asset to our hospital as he leads our outstanding medical staff,” stated Tom Ozburn, president and chief executive officer at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. “Under Dr. Grant’s leadership, we will continue to advance our clinical services offering exceptional patient care to the Middle Tennessee region.”

Dr. Grant received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Clemson University. He attended medical school at the University of South Carolina, followed by a residency in anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Grant practiced pediatric and adult anesthesia in Macon, Georgia for many years where he also served as clinical professor of anesthesiology at Mercer University School of Medicine. Prior to his time at Parkridge Health, he served as chief medical officer at Coliseum Health System in Macon, Georgia where he also served as the division institutional official overseeing the development of three new graduate medical education programs.

Dr. Grant and his wife are excited to move to Nashville with their four children.
