TriStar Skyline Medical Center, Tennessee’s first Comprehensive Stroke Center and a recognized leader in neuroscience care, has introduced cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance stroke diagnosis and intervention. The advanced deep-learning imaging platform supports faster, more precise clinical decision-making, building on a 20-year legacy of pioneering stroke care in Middle Tennessee.

The FDA-cleared AI platform rapidly analyzes patient brain scans, identifying the severity and location of stroke-related abnormalities, helping clinical teams respond with greater speed and precision. It is part of a comprehensive stroke imaging and triage solution, streamlining the entire stroke pathway–from the emergency department to advanced intervention. In the critical moments after stroke symptoms begin, every second matters and technology like this supports confident, life-saving decisions.

“At TriStar Skyline, innovation isn’t just about what’s next — it’s about what’s best for our patients,” said Dr. Dennis Cole, neurologist and medical director of TriStar Skyline’s Neurosciences Program. “This AI solution empowers our team to interpret imaging faster, which can lead to improve outcomes when it matters most.”

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability in the U.S. According to the CDC, someone has a stroke every 40 seconds, and one person dies from stroke every 3 minutes and 14 seconds, highlighting the importance of rapid, data-driven care.

“It’s not just about speed, it’s about certainty,” added Dr. Cole. “This technology supports the clinical expertise our team has built over two decades and enhances the quality of care our patients trust us to deliver.”

TriStar Skyline is proud to be among the first in the area to adopt this advanced platform, furthering its commitment to transforming stroke care across the region. As part of HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Health network, TriStar Skyline continues to raise the bar for stroke care across the region, driving progress through innovation and technology.
