$4.8 million upgrade to cardiac catheterization lab and special procedures suite unveiled at TriStar Skyline
TriStar Skyline Medical Center has completed a $4.8 million renovation of its catheterization (cath) lab and neurovascular imaging suite. This two-year investment significantly expands the hospital’s advanced cardiovascular, neurovascular and interventional radiology capabilities, strengthening its role as a leading resource for patients across Middle Tennessee.
The upgrades include an advanced cardiac imaging system that supports minimally invasive heart and vascular procedures with improved clarity, precision and safety. TriStar Skyline also installed a biplane imaging system designed for complex neurovascular and interventional radiology procedures, expanding the hospital’s ability to treat stroke, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and other high-acuity conditions within its highly specialized neuroscience program.
Renovations also improved clinical and colleague spaces, including patient prep and recovery areas, colleague locker rooms and adjacent workspaces to improve overall patient flow, safety and comfort.
“This investment strengthens TriStar Skyline’s ability to deliver timely, life-saving care for both cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies,” said Brian Marger, chief executive officer at TriStar Skyline. “These updates ensure our teams have the technology and environment needed to continue providing safe, innovative and highly specialized care. The new cardiac imaging system and neurovascular biplane suite significantly enhance our capabilities and allow us to treat more complex conditions with even greater precision.”
The refresh aligns with the recent expansion of cardiovascular services at TriStar Skyline through the addition of Tennessee Heart and Vascular. Their board-certified cardiologists and vascular specialists enhance TriStar Skyline’s ability to offer a broader range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical cardiac care on campus.
TriStar Skyline, part of HCA Healthcare, offers comprehensive cardiovascular services including emergency cardiac care, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular surgery, cardiac rehabilitation and long-term heart health support for patients across Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. TriStar Skyline was recently named the No. 1 hospital in Tennessee for neuroscience, stroke care, and vascular surgery for 2026 by Healthgrades based on patient outcomes and reserved for hospitals who demonstrate superior performance in specialty care.
