TriStar Skyline Medical Center welcomes Domenic Martinello, MD, as chief medical officer

Dr. Martinello brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine and hospital leadership to his new role

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Domenic Martinello, MD, as its new chief medical officer. Dr. Martinello brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine, hospital leadership and a deep commitment to quality and patient safety. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Martinello to TriStar Skyline Medical Center,” said Brian Marger, chief executive officer of TriStar Skyline. “His extensive clinical and leadership experience, combined with his passion for quality and patient safety, will be invaluable as we continue to provide exceptional care to our community.” 

Dr. Martinello earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of Nevada School of Medicine, respectively. Before pursuing medicine, he served as a paramedic in Reno, Nevada, laying the foundation for his passion for patient care. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. 

With 12 years of practice in emergency medicine across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Dr. Martinello has worked in a variety of settings, ranging from tertiary referral hospitals to critical access centers. His leadership journey began as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for HCA Healthcare facilities in Las Vegas, including Southern Hills Hospital and MountainView Medical Center. Most recently, he served as CMO at Lutheran Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with Community Health Systems. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Martinello has a rich and diverse background. He served in the National Guard as an infantry soldier and later as a combat medic and M1A1 crew member.
