Symptoms of a stroke

It's important to recognize the warning signs of a stroke. Call 911 immediately if you or a loved one experiences any of the following symptoms:

  • Face drooping
  • Speech difficulty
  • Sudden dizziness
  • Sudden trouble walking
  • Sudden bodily numbness or weakness
  • Sudden severe headache
  • Trouble speaking
  • Unexplained confusion

Our stroke care services

Our specialists provide fast emergency care for strokes. We also offer a comprehensive rehabilitative program to help you recover afterwards.

Stroke rehabilitation

A stroke can leave lasting physical damage — from weakness and trouble balancing to difficulty swallowing. We offer tailored physical therapy programs to help you recover your strength and independence.

People who have a stroke may also experience issues with memory, cognition and depression. To help patients manage these symptoms and recover as fully as possible after a stroke, we may recommend neurotherapy, which is a specialized form of neurological care.

Getting to our ER

We diagnose and treat strokes at our emergency room, which is located on the northwest side of our hospital. You can turn into our campus from College Street/Highway 70 or Mathis Drive and follow signs to the emergency room.
