Cardiac rehabilitation aims to help you recover from a cardiovascular event — such as a heart attack or heart failure — or other debilitating heart condition. This recovery process usually involves physical therapy, exercise and education to rebuild and maintain your heart strength.

Your doctor may recommend cardiac rehab to help you recover after a cardiac event or diagnosis, and our team will tailor a care programs to your specific needs, no matter your condition.

Our team of rehab specialists aims to provide the best care possible for your heart condition.

Outpatient rehab services

Our team provides access to outpatient heart rehab care encompassing a wide range of services, including:

  • Exercise therapy sessions three days each week for up to 12 weeks
  • One hour of continuous telemetry electrocardiogram monitoring
  • Blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and blood glucose monitoring (if you have diabetes)
  • Education sessions on various topics to help with risk factor modification
  • Regular status reporting to your physician

We also offer later class times if you are medically cleared to work after receiving care.

No matter your condition, in our program, your care team consists of a board-certified cardiologist, a registered dietitian, a pharmacist and certified advanced cardiac life support nurses to make sure you are back on your feet as quickly as possible.

Outpatient cardiac rehab is located on TriStar Hendersonville's main campus in the heart and vascular department. Entrance into the program requires a doctor's referral. For more information, please call (615) 338-1460.
