HCA Nurse Residency

Our enterprise-wide residency is designed to build clinical skills and professional development for new nurses through our 12-month training program. HCA Nurse Residency provides classroom education, hands-on simulation training and preceptorship.

Nurse Practice Council and Nursing Shared Governance

TriStar Health nurses have a voice in decisions impacting patient care through professional practice councils. Hospital-based committees have representation across multiple nursing specialties and units, providing collective knowledge and influence in patient care.

Director development program

HCA offers a seven- to 10-month program designed to prepare nursing leaders in emergency and surgical services to assume nursing director positions. Nurses participating in this program attend alumni events to support ongoing professional development.

CNO development program

HCA offers a year-long executive development program, expanding the pipeline of nursing leaders to transition into the chief nursing officer position. The program combines executive exposure, business management and networking to fully prepare nurses to be successful executive leaders. While in the development program, the nurse assumes the role of associate chief nursing officer, acting as a member of the hospital’s administrative team.
