Severe burns are considered traumatic wounds. That is why our burn care services are provided through our outpatient burn and wound care clinic and supported by our state-designated provisional Level I Trauma Center. This means we are equipped to provide advanced care and do everything in our capacity to return you to the highest possible level of independence and function. Our treatments and services include:

Outpatient burn care
In addition to our inpatient burn program, our outpatient services for burn patients include postoperative surgery discharge management, as well as care for acute and chronic wounds, skin disorders, and soft tissue disorders.
Skin graft surgery
Skin grafting for burns involves a surgeon covering burns with healthy skin extracted from another area of your body or from another person. This type of treatment also helps minimize scarring.
