Ethan Gerrald, PharmD

Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU - Mechanical Circulatory Support Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Gerrald received his PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2019. He then completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC followed by his PGY-2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency at University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington KY. He joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in August of 2021 as the Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinical Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Gerrald participates in CV Mortality, CV OR Processing, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and LVAD committees at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. He currently serves as the primary preceptor for the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) rotations for both the PGY-1 and PGY-2 Cardiology programs.

Rachel Hemberger, PharmD, BCCCP, BCPS

Cardiology/Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Hemberger received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004 from Ohio Northern University. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency in 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, where she stayed on for ten years as a Critical Care pharmacist specializing in trauma. Dr. Hemberger moved to Nashville in 2015, where she joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center as a cardiology/critical care clinical pharmacist. She serves as a preceptor for Adult Critical Care, Cardiovascular, and Neurology rotations for PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents.

Erica Roman, PharmD, BCPS

Cardiology/Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Roman graduated from Belmont University, College of Pharmacy in 2018 and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee in 2019. Upon residency completion, she accepted a position as a clinical pharmacist in cardiac critical care where she continues to practice today. Her cardiac areas of interest include heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, and cardiovascular surgery. She precepts both students and residents in the area of cardiac critical care and will be precepting the General Cardiology Rotation for the PGY-2 program.

Chelsea Mitchell, PharmD, BCCCP

Medical/Surgical ICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Mitchell received her PharmD from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017. She then completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN and her PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency with Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. After residency, she returned to Memphis as the Cardiovascular ICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Methodist University Hospital from 2019 to 2021. She joined the pharmacy team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in 2021 as the Medical/Surgical ICU Pharmacy Specialist. Dr. Mitchell serves as the primary preceptor the MSICU rotations for the PGY-1 and PGY-2 programs.
