TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new 24-bed cardiovascular unit, part of a $53.6 million expansion. The project will add more than 30,000 square feet and increase capacity across multiple departments.

The unit will care for acute cardiac and cardiovascular patients. It is equipped with a private waiting room and state-of-the-art technology to enhance patient care and support.

“The addition of our cardiovascular unit allows us to care for more patients in Sumner County that come to us specifically for cardiac care,” said Justin Coury, chief executive officer of TriStar Hendersonville. “As the home of Tennessee Heart and Vascular for more than 40 years, we are known for innovation in cardiology, and we are proud to expand our services.”

The expansion and renovation project includes:

  • 24 new cardiovascular inpatient beds
  • An outdoor dining patio
  • A new kitchen with upgraded appliances
  • A renovated laboratory and materials management warehouse
  • Additional shelled space in the Birth Center to accommodate future growth

TriStar Hendersonville is consistently recognized for its outstanding quality. The hospital was recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for stroke care, critical care, pulmonary care, orthopedic surgery, surgical care and gastrointestinal care and surgery, according to Healthgrades®.
