TriStar Skyline Medical Center earns national stroke award for third consecutive year

TriStar Skyline celebrates continued excellence in comprehensive stroke care.

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the American Heart Association and its division, the American Stroke Association, for its commitment to providing high-quality stroke care. For the third consecutive year, TriStar Skyline earned the Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Award, as well as placement on the 2025 Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

These distinctions reflect TriStar Skyline’s dedication to improving outcomes for stroke patients through evidence-based treatment and rapid intervention. By consistently meeting the highest standards of care, the hospital ensures patients in Middle Tennessee have access to lifesaving, advanced stroke treatment close to home.

TriStar Skyline is celebrating more than 20 years as a leader in stroke care, underscoring its long-standing commitment to clinical excellence and innovation. The hospital is ranked No. 1 in Tennessee for neuroscience and stroke care by Healthgrades, and it was also the first hospital in Tennessee to be recognized as a comprehensive stroke center.

Stroke is the No. 5 cause of death in the United States and a leading cause of serious long-term disability. Up to 80 percent of strokes are preventable. Through community outreach and education, TriStar Skyline empowers the community to recognize stroke symptoms early and seek immediate care, because "time lost is brain lost."
