TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has been awarded a $10,000 community donation from HCA Healthcare Foundation after earning first place in a division wide Food Sculpture Contest held during November’s annual food drive.
The donation, made by HCA Healthcare Foundation on behalf of TriStar Hendersonville, will benefit United Way of Sumner County partner agencies working to combat food insecurity across the region.
Of the total contribution, $5,000 will support Hands of Hope Food Pantry in Portland. The remaining funds will be distributed among Gallatin Cares, Gallatin Shalom Zone and Gallatin Day Care to strengthen local food assistance programs and expand access for individuals and families in need.
As part of the contest, TriStar Hendersonville colleagues designed a creative 3D “We Care” food sculpture, symbolizing the hospital’s commitment to caring for the community beyond its walls.
“At TriStar Hendersonville, caring for our community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Justin Coury, chief executive officer. “This donation represents more than financial support — it reflects hope, partnership and our shared mission to improve lives throughout Sumner County.”
TriStar Hendersonville is part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers. Through charitable giving, volunteerism and community partnerships, HCA Healthcare works to address social drivers of health, including food insecurity, and strengthen the communities it serves.
