TriStar White House ER
Life-saving care, minutes away
White House has doubled in size over the past two decades. With growth comes challenges, including access to emergency care. When minutes matter, having an ER nearby can save lives. That’s why TriStar Health is expanding its network of freestanding emergency rooms to White House with a facility off Raymond Hirsch Parkway.
A freestanding ER can do all the things a hospital-based ER can do. It can treat heart attacks, strokes, broken bones, and other emergencies. The only difference is that it isn't connected to a hospital, allowing them to be located in communities that are miles away from the nearest ER to provide faster care.
FAQ
What's the difference between a freestanding ER and urgent care clinics?
A freestanding emergency room is capable of delivering emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It offers a higher level of care and is hospital-owned and operated. Urgent care clinics may be a better option for less severe illnesses and injuries.
Will my tax dollars be used to help pay for this facility?
None of the funding will come out of your pocket. TriStar Hendersonville is a tax-paying entity that partners with charitable organizations and local groups in an effort to give back to the community. We have been a part of Sumner County for over 44 years, and we look forward to expanding our ability to serve White House residents.
Will this facility affect the traffic in the area?
The heavy traffic sometimes associated with a traditional hospital emergency room won’t be a concern here. Freestanding emergency rooms are smaller facilities and don’t substantially increase traffic. However, we will work with TDOT to ensure the proper steps are taken so that traffic won’t be an issue.
What about the noise from the sirens?
TriStar Hendersonville is committed to being a good neighbor and not disrupting the community with unnecessary noise. Sirens from vehicles coming to this freestanding ER will often not be used when transporting a patient. Most ambulances don’t use lights and sirens when heading to the emergency room, lights and sirens are reserved for responses to potential emergencies and transporting patients with life-threatening conditions.
How will this facility increase access to underserved communities?
Our freestanding ERs accept all patients, regardless of insurance plan. No one will ever be turned away from a TriStar Health freestanding ER. We pride ourselves in treating all community members closer to where they live and work.
