TriStar Fairview ER
For nearly a decade, TriStar Horizon Medical Center has been part of the Fairview community, delivering trusted primary and outpatient care right off Highway 100 at our TriStar Medical Plaza. Today, TriStar Horizon and our TriStar Natchez ER treat nearly half of all ER visits from Fairview and the surrounding areas, because families here know our teams, trust our care, and count on us when it matters most.
Now, it's time to bring that same trusted emergency care home to Fairview. Our proposed freestanding ER at 2273 Fairview Boulevard — in the heart of the community — will put 24/7 lifesaving care just minutes from your family. With 11 treatment rooms equipped to handle the same life-threatening emergencies as a hospital-based ER, TriStar Fairview ER is a natural next step in our commitment to this growing community. Because in an emergency, every minute matters and Fairview families shouldn't have to drive to Dickson, Franklin, or Nashville to get the care they deserve.
Across Fairview, families, parents and longtime residents are speaking up about why closer emergency care matters. Here's what the community is saying:
"I feel a growing city like Fairview, especially with the spike in young families, needs an emergency room in town in case of emergency."
"It is the obvious choice and solution for Fairview. And the one my family would most benefit from having."
"An ER would be a great addition for this area because it will also serve the rural areas near us."
Your voice can help bring trusted emergency care home to Fairview. TriStar Horizon is seeking approval at the state level so we can break ground on Fairview’s first emergency room, and community support matters to make that happen as soon as possible. FAQs
What’s the difference between a freestanding ER and a hospital-based ER?
A freestanding emergency room is a stand-alone ER that is not physically attached to a hospital. It provides the same life-saving and diagnostic care as a hospital-based emergency room — closer to home for residents who may live too far from a traditional ER. In Fairview, if a patient needs a higher level of care, transportation will be arranged to the hospital of their choice to ensure seamless continuity of care.
How will this facility increase access to underserved communities?
Our freestanding ERs accept all insurance plans, including TennCare. No one will ever be turned away from a TriStar Health freestanding ER.
Will my tax dollars be used to help pay for this facility?
None of the funding will come out of your pocket. TriStar Horizon Medical Center is a tax-paying entity that partners with charitable organizations and local groups in an effort to give back to the community. We have been part of Dickson County for over 68 years, and we look forward to expanding our ability to serve the residents of Fairview and surrounding communities.
Will this facility affect the traffic in the area?
The heavy traffic sometimes associated with a traditional hospital emergency room won’t be a concern here. Freestanding emergency rooms are smaller facilities and don’t substantially increase traffic. However, we will work with TDOT to ensure the proper steps are taken so that traffic won’t be an issue.
What about the noise from the sirens?
TriStar Horizon Medical Center is committed to being a good neighbor and not disrupting the community with unnecessary noise. Sirens from vehicles coming to this freestanding ER will often not be used when transporting a patient. Most ambulances don’t use lights and sirens when heading to the emergency room, lights and sirens are reserved for responses to potential emergencies and transporting patients with life-threatening conditions.
