At TriStar Greenview, we take caring like family to heart. It isn’t just a value – it’s a promise.
For Larry, that promise became deeply personal.
After his wife suffered a fall during Winter Storm Fern and was admitted to rehab, he found himself managing everything at home alone, including his own health. When his blood sugar levels became unmanageable, he was admitted to TriStar Greenview.
“It’s humbling when you have to ask for help when you haven’t needed it all your life,” Larry shared. “But these people here have helped me see that it’s okay to ask for help.”
During his stay, he’s continued to feel supported and valued as a person, not as a patient. “I’ve never been somewhere where I’ve felt so well taken care of.”
While every member of his care team showed kindness and compassion, one nurse made an especially lasting impact. When Larry was feeling overwhelmed, Josh knelt beside him and honored his request to pray together.
“Thank God for people like Josh,” Larry said with tears in his eyes. “He prayed with me and helped me see the positive things in life.”
For Josh, and fellow nurse Teresa, caring for Larry has been an honor. Both are proud to serve their community and live out TriStar Greenview’s promise to care like family every day.
