During an incredibly difficult time following a cancer diagnosis, Danielle made a lasting impact on one patient and her family. The patient shared that Danielle was the first person who made her smile again. She cared not only for her medical needs, but for her entire family with kindness, empathy, and genuine compassion.
In her nomination, the patient reflected that while cancer can take many things, it can never take the love from her heart — and she thanked Danielle for helping her hold onto that light during such a dark time.
