TriStar Skyline celebrates 25 years with community art walk and mural unveiling
Nashville, TN — TriStar Skyline Medical Center marked its 25th anniversary last week with a series of celebrations, highlighted by a community art walk and mural unveiling on Thursday evening, September 25.
The centerpiece of the evening was the unveiling of a large-scale mural by Nashville-based artist, Nathan Brown, known for his bold, geometric designs featured across the U.S. and internationally. Inspired by the Nashville skyline, the mural symbolizes both the city’s growth and TriStar Skyline’s transformation over the past 25 years as a regional leader in healthcare.
The mural’s placement is especially meaningful. TriStar Skyline sits on the highest point in Davidson County, a site chosen by Dr. Thomas Frist Sr. to overlook the city as a beacon on the hill. Brown’s work extends that legacy, offering a lasting place of hope and inspiration for patients, colleagues, physicians and visitors.
“As we celebrate 25 years of excellence, this mural represents our journey and our mission,” said Brian Marger, chief executive officer of TriStar Skyline. “Just as the Nashville skyline has transformed, so has TriStar Skyline. It was an honor to share this moment with our community, our colleagues and our patients.”
The art walk also showcased artwork created by patients in TriStar Skyline’s inpatient rehabilitation. Proceeds from the event benefited the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Guests enjoyed local vendors, live jazz guitar and food, making the evening both festive and meaningful.
Earlier in the week, TriStar Skyline colleagues celebrated the milestone with cake and punch throughout the hospital. Physicians and colleagues who transitioned from Nashville Memorial to TriStar Skyline were honored during a special 25th anniversary reception.
Anniversary celebrations continued Tuesday, Sept. 30, with the groundbreaking of a new freestanding ER in East Nashville. The event underscores TriStar Skyline’s commitment to expanding access to care in the community.
