Chest pain can be a sign of a medical emergency, such as a heart attack. If you think you may be experiencing a heart attack, seek medical care immediately.

Eleven hospital emergency rooms within our network are recognized as Chest Pain Centers by The Joint Commission and American College of Cardiology. This means we have the teams and skill to provide the care you need within minutes. Our Chest Pain Centers provide a wide range of services, including state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization labs and comprehensive heart testing and screening.

Emergencies during pregnancy can be complex and may require specialized care. Within our network, we offer four OB/GYN emergency rooms that are exclusively dedicated to caring for pregnant and postpartum women.

We offer OB ERs that cater to pregnant women's unique health needs at TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital in downtown Nashville, TriStar StoneCrest in Smyrna, TriStar Summit in Hermitage, and TriStar NorthCrest in Springfield. Each location is staffed 24/7 by specialists and hospitalists skilled in managing complications such as preterm labor, abnormal vaginal bleeding and severe abdominal pain.

Whether your little one becomes suddenly ill with a high fever or injured with a broken bone, we are committed to providing compassionate pediatric emergency care 24/7.

While all of our emergency rooms treat children's injuries and conditions, we provide specialized emergency services at our pediatric ERs located at The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial and TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center. With the help of board-certified pediatric emergency physicians, specialty trained nurses and other advanced providers, these locations are especially equipped to provide children with the rapid care they need in a safe, comfortable and child-friendly setting.

TriStar Health offers one of the region’s most comprehensive stroke care networks, with eight accredited Stroke Center emergency rooms. Our network includes five Advanced Primary Stroke Centers, one Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, and two Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Centers.

As Tennessee’s first Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center recognized by The Joint Commission, TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a national leader in neuroscience services and treats more stroke patients than any other hospital in Nashville. TriStar Centennial Medical Center also provides the highest level of stroke care as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Additionally, our tele-neurology network spans two states and 40 locations, enabling our neurologists to deliver real-time evaluations and treatment recommendations via secure video for hospitals without on-call specialists to ensure timely, effective care.

From motor vehicle accidents to serious falls, our Trauma Centers are equipped to handle the most critical emergencies. We have emergency rooms designated as Trauma Centers ranging from Level I to Level V.

We are able to provide you with the highest level of trauma care at our Level I Trauma Center at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. This advanced emergency room is equipped to provide care for extreme, life-threatening injuries such as gunshot wounds, severe burns and traumatic car crash injuries.

When a higher level of care is needed, our SkyLife helicopter provides medical air transport from accident scenes and other healthcare facilities within a 300-mile range. It is the only air medical transport in the region equipped with specialized technology to treat extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) patients, as well as high-risk obstetric patients and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients.
